About Lobbyvo
Lobbyvo is a small piece of software for the person who runs a workplace reception. It has two halves. The worksheet is free and does the arithmetic on the page: how many names an evacuation list has to account for, how many sign-in records a year the desk will create, how many of them the retention rule still holds, and how many clauses the visitor policy behind them needs. Lobbyvo Pro is the record afterwards: each reception with its visitors and contractors signed in and out, the host told when someone arrives, the badge printed, and the list of who was in the building on any date, exportable at any time.
Why this site exists
This site exists because a reception's record of who came through the door is usually a book on the desk, and the book is unsearchable the moment it matters: the fire warden wants a headcount, the auditor wants last quarter's contractors, the office manager wants to know whether the candidate ever arrived. The arithmetic that shows how big that record actually is takes a minute and almost nobody does it, so the worksheet is free and on the page. The paid half keeps the record itself, for the sites that decide they want one.
Who it is for
The office manager, front-of-house lead or operations owner at a workplace in the United States running one reception or a handful, with contractors, candidates, clients and drivers arriving all day
Not a security integrator specifying door hardware, not a workplace team buying desk and room booking, not a clinic or a hotel checking people in, and not an enterprise procuring a workplace platform by tender
What it does not do
- No door access control and no badge readers. We record the sign-in; the door is somebody else's product
- No health screening, no symptom questionnaires, no facial recognition and no fingerprints, by design and not by omission: a typed name, a company, a host and a time are what a sign-in needs
- No vendor ranking we cannot evidence, and no legal advice about what your policy has to say
