- Workplace visitor policy, on the worked example
- 58
The worksheet takes the numbers you already know, how many people sign in on a normal day, how many staff are on site at midday, how many days the desk is open and how long you keep a record, and does the arithmetic on the page: the evacuation list, the yearly volume, the records still held under your retention rule and the clauses the policy has to carry. Nothing here is legal advice and nothing is a compliance certificate. The rule the evacuation line comes from is linked beside the answer so you can read the wording yourself.
The arithmetic runs on the figures you type. The one external rule quoted, the requirement to account for everyone after an evacuation, is 29 CFR 1910.38 and is linked where it is used.
